Unlike the Kate Daniels novels, which sketched out the various layers of the world in which it was set over several books, the first novel of the Edge series seems eager to map out its whole universe. On the whole a good, quick read, but there seemed to be more passages that were explicitly “world-building” in this novel than I’m used to from Andrews.
