I haven’t read many mystery novels since I was a teenager – my genres of choice these days are science fiction and romance – but this was a delight! It’s set in Victorian-era Egypt and largely takes place at an archaeological dig site. There is a mystery to solve and a mummy to contend with, but the novel primarily reads as a romp.
